Jay Suen joined Youngman Ericsson Scott, LLP in 2015 with a specialty in assisting mid-to-high net worth individuals and families with designing and implementing their estate plans using a combination of revocable trusts, irrevocable gift trusts and closely held business entities to achieve the client’s objectives. In addition, Jay assists clients with their income tax compliance and planning needs and offers counsel with respect to the defense of IRS audits. Jay’s practice areas with the firm will include estate planning, estate administration, tax compliance & controversy, business planning, and trust & estates litigation.
Prior to joining Youngman Ericsson Scott, LLP, Jay was an associate at a boutique estate planning law firm in San Jose, a fiduciary specialist at an international law firm and a tax consultant at a Big Four public accounting firm.Jay graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002 with a B.S. in business administration (concentration in finance) and a minor in mathematics.
Jay graduated from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law in 2007 with a JD and a MBT (Masters in Business Taxation). He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Jay is an active member of the State Bar of California, as well as the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and the Estate Planning and Tax Sections of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
