Ian Greensides has been associated with Youngman & Ericsson LLP as a contract attorney since October 2010 and has worked in the legal field since 1992. His practice areas include civil litigation, real estate, contested estates and trusts, conservatorships, guardianships, and appeals. He has actively successfully defended and prosecuted several cases to trial, including several successful appeals. His clients have included both corporations and individuals.

Ian also offers legal advice in non-litigation matters within the same practice areas. He will provide you with frank legal advice whether it be a litigation or non-litigation matter. Ian is also a trained mediator and is listed as a court appointed mediator for the Contra Costa and Solano Courts.

Before becoming an attorney, Ian worked in financial services, advising individuals regarding investments, insurance, lending, retirement, and college planning. He also taught as an insurance licensing instructor and as an adjunct writing instructor.

Ian is a California native, having resided in British Columbia for four years while growing up, when his family moved to the San Francisco Peninsula. He moved to the East Bay in 1997. Ian earned his B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley, his Masters in Public Administration from California State University East Bay, and his J.D from John F. Kennedy School of Law.

Ian is active in community organizations and has volunteered with pro-bono legal clinics in Contra Costa and Solano Counties. He has served on the Board of Directors for multiple nonprofit organizations including the Campfire USA Golden Empire Council, the Lake Vera Mutual Water Company, Church of the Resurrection, and San Mateo County Council Boy Scouts of America. He is an Eagle Scout and remains active in the Scouting program. He also founded and directs a nonprofit children's camp, Camp Saint Francis.

Ian lives in Contra Costa County with his wife and four children.
